KINGMAN – The Mohave County supervisors approved several changes Monday to the county ordinance and the general plan concerning renewable energy projects.
One change to the county ordinance is to allow a zoning permit for renewable energy projects on land zoned general, agricultural residential, airport development or general manufacturing. Another change to the county ordinance will add language defining renewable energy projects. The change also would add language defining projects on up to 1,920 acres in an urban development area and renewable energy projects up to 3,840 acres in a rural development area. The third change will add language to the county’s general plan dealing with changes to an urban or suburban development areas and rural development areas for renewable energy projects.
