The Western Arizona Economic Development District (WAEDD) Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is a community-based undertaking. In order to complete the process every year, WAEDD must reach out to its community partners to gather all relevant information pertaining to economic development in La Paz, Mohave, and Yuma County in the State of Arizona.
Our community partners include:
- All western Arizona (La Paz, Mohave, and Yuma County) Municipalities;
- Any non-profit organizations who champion projects aimed at promoting economic development in the region;
- Any business entities partnering with non-profit organizations who champion projects aimed at promoting economic development in the region;
- All school districts within the region;
- All institutions of higher education within the region; and
- Regional community organizations, including but not limited to the Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation, Bullhead Regional Economic Development Authority , and the Lake Havasu Partnership for Economic Development.
- Arizona Rural Policy Institute
- Arizona Rural Development Council
- Arizona Association for Economic Development
- Arizona Department of Commerce
- Economic Development Administration
- APS Community Development
- Arizona Prospector
Each year that the CEDS process has been active in WAEDD, an extensive list of the above entities have been contacted to submit their projects to the CEDS project implementation plan and report. Over 100 organizations and municipalities are contacted annually and dozens of projects have been submitted for inclusion in the CEDS.
Without our partners the CEDS process would fail to remain the most inclusive guide and report of economic development in western Arizona. For this, a special thanks is owed to all contributors.
